Fall Break Fun!!

Fall is in the air, or at least it is beginning to look a little more likefall. Angie and the kids started their fall break early this week. The boys and I just started our break today. None of us had anything exciting planned. I thought I'd take advantage of the beautiful weather and the pretty colors and get a few pictures of the kids. Of course Codie was done before we even got started. Connor always wants to make a silly picture and Keaton may or may not look at the camera. Overall, I think the few I was able to get aren't half bad.

Flag Football Saturday!!

Connor has been waiting all year for Flag Football. He started talking about playing back before baseball sign-ups. Today was his first game. It was a great success, 30-6!! Connor played quarter back and wide receiver (I think). He caught the ball and ran for a touch down. HE MADE IT!! I'll try to get some better action shots next time. This was the best one I got today and he was running over for a drink. Connor wanted to make sure I let everyone know that he also pulled two flags today. He says that was good defense. Connor plays every Saturday in October and November. Most games are around 10:00 or 11:00. Let us know if you're in town and can make it to one. GO CAVALIERS!!

Happy Fall Ya'll

I'm a little early in celebrating the fall season. I'm glad they're giving cooler weather this week. I thought I would share this picture I had Stacey take of us at Granny's birthday party in Friday night. Since Halloween is on a Friday night this year we should all get together and have our own party. Anyone interested?

Connor and Keaton!

I just thought I'd share this picture of the boys. I took it Friday afternoon just before leaving to go to Granny's. The last time I visited she let me know that she did not have a picture of Keaton. So, I snapped a few shots of both boys and quickly ran by Sams to print them off on my way out of town.

Connor loves going to Granny Hurt's. He had a great time playing with everyone and Keaton got to do something he loves as well, climbing trees. Our trees are too high for him to climb. We all had a good time and look forward to getting together with everyone again soon.

Summer Vacation Dates Selected

We set a date for the summer vacation last night at Granny's party. We decided on June 13-20th. We need to know how many definites are going so we can figure out on who is bunking with who and how many condos we need. Here are the definites:
Jonathan & Angie's family, Tony & Stacey's family, Dana, Leslie's family, Sherri's family, Granny & Kathy, and probably Branden.
Here are the maybes:
Josh & Deena's family, Rob & Amy's family

Please let us know who wants to go. Most condos sleep 8 (3BD, 2 bath).

Granny's Birthday Party

Granny had a pretty good turnout for her birthday party Friday night. All of her children were there except Kenny (he was in Florida) and all of her brothers and sisters (with the exception of Otha)were there except Phillip. She seemed to have a good time and thankfully the weather held out for us. I had a great time visting with my cousins. We set a date for the 2009 family vacation so make sure to check that post for more details.

Back to School!!

We all started back to school this week. Connor in second grade and Keaton in first grade. Connor came home on the first day of school and said, "I think second grade my be the best year yet!" (That's only because they have desks instead of group tables but I'm glad he had a great start.) Keaton started his reading homework on Thursday night and sped right through it. Hope everyone else had as successful a first week back as we did.
